The Dutch VMUG event 2009 which took place at the Nieuwegein Business Center yesterday turned out to be a great success. On the 11th of December over 600 enthusiastic VMUG members have enjoyed a day full of virtualization, with lots of sessions and workshops. I uploaded the video impression which can be viewed here.

This morning at the end of my Virtualization EcoShell session, Scott Herold delivered a demo of Vizioncore’s vRanger PowerPack. I’ve recorded the last part of my session on my Flip.

This morning I've presented “Managing VMware vSphere 4 with The Virtualization EcoShell” for an audience of 200+ people at the Dutch VMUG event 2009 in Nieuwegein. Here’s a copy of my slide deck.

The Dutch VMUG event which is taking place at the Nieuwegein Business Centre is turning out to be a great success. Over 600 enthusiastic VMUG members are enjoyed a day full of virtualization, with lots of sessions and workshops. I’ve Just uploaded the first pictures to a newly created Flickr! group at http://www.flickr.com/groups/dutch_vmug_2009/

I’m ready for it, today the Dutch VMUG event 2009 will take place at the Nieuwegein Business Centre. In a short time over 600 attendees will pick up their badge and goodies and are going to enjoy several sessions divided into three parallel tracks. Like always I’ll capture some video footage and make some photos. I’ll try to upload the content to Vimeo and Flickr! as soon as possible. I’m also going to deliver a session called “Managing VMware vSphere 4 with The Virtualization EcoShell” at 10:50 in the Grand Hall "Voor", at 11:50 the presentation will be online.

ESX 4.0 Update 1 has been re-released with changes to avoid this issue. The installation process checks for running agents and stops them before proceeding.

The re-released ESX 4.0 Update1 is referred to as ESX 4.0 Update 1a and is available via vSphere Update Manager (VUM) and the VMware Downloads site.
